CLOWN FOR SENIORS, AND THE ELDERLY WITH ALZHEIMERS/DEMENTIA |

To
contribute to the vitality and social interaction of older people, Lizzie Love
conducts sessions of poetry, humor, creative movement, art, dance, music and
guitar sing alongs. Participants articulate feelings, desires, needs and
aspirations in a noncompetitive, cooperative setting that promotes togetherness. |

Group poems of participants may be
compiled in a book for distribution or used in a newsletter. These techniques
are frequently beneficial for adults with memory and behavior disorders.

Caring clown individual room visits also

Lizzie Love writes
poems about the patient describing his or her physical attributes and
feelings. She also uses the Caring Clown Techniques of puppetry,
pantomime and comedy magic. She encourages each to attend group poetry
and music sessions whenever possible.

Liz Reynolds (Lizzie Love) is now
performing in over thirty assisted living, independent living, rehabilitation,
daycare and mental health centers in South Florida. Clientele include Marriot,
Hyatt, Manorcare, Vencor, NHC, Homewood, as well as many local facilities such
as Holy Cross and North Broward Rehabilitation Center.
